First Part:
A (protagonist) is good friends with B (antagonist). They discovered a hidden book with incantations that transports them to an underground pyramid in Egypt, the Great Library. There they meet an old man in grey robes (aka Reginald Ashram) who tells them that they were a part of a great destiny that would separate them and challenge their friendship. They are then teleported through an ancient portal to two separate places; A to Shurima and meets with Nasus and Ezreal and B to an unknown place. The story will be the recollection from A’s point of view.

Second Part:
Alistar has just finished training in Kumungu Jungle and is making his way back to the teleporter located near a town in Shurima. On his way, he met a strange summoner resembling his friend from the time he spent in the Fleshing, Ayelia. The summoner was with a bunch of other summoners with no discernable markings (aka rogue summoners). Alistar watched as they activated a strange rune and was caught off guard by ‘Ayelia’ and another hooded figure. A tough battle ensues and Alistar, who was wounded, was forced to retreat deeper into Shurima, and stumbles across A and the other champions. A somehow pushed Ayelia and her companion back and they fled. Nasus and Ezreal brought them to the teleporter and teleported to The Institute of War.

Third Part:
Back in the Institute of war, the group brought Alistar to the infirmary and left him there. They then proceeded to the investigation department to inquire of the mysterious group. The investigation department agreed to investigate the group and the mysterious rune. Ezreal then went off and left the team. Nasus then proceed to bring A to meet up with Shurelia and Randuin, a pair of retired summoners, to teach him the ways of a summoner. There they met C, D, E and F who were training under Shurelia and Randuin for an upcoming Tournament.

Fourth Part:
After the training, Nasus and the new team consisting of A,C,D,E and F met up with Alistar, who is feeling better and decided to go to Bandle City to employ the help of the Scouts to assist in investigating the matter. It was then that a giant explosion happened and chaos erupted in the Institute of war. A dark shadow is seen escaping from the explosion, and it is revealed that it was Nocturne who escaped. Shaco appeared from the explosion site as well, and is only spotted by A but disappears in a cloud of smoke before the rest could see him. The mysterious group then came and challenged A to a match.

Fifth Part:
A wanted to know why they wanted to go against him, and the leader of the mysterious group, revealed to be a corrupted B, said it was all for the sake of eliminating A. A then agreed, while asking for the help of F (who is good in telepathy) to get back up, in case something were to go wrong. The group then saw High Councillor Heywan Relivash, who upon hearing their request, agreed to oversee the match. The wager was that if team A wins, team B will surrender and admit their plans. If team B wins, team A will be banished from Valoran forever.

Sixth Part:
The matchup is:
Nasus (A) VS Renekton (B)
Sarah Fortune (C) VS Kog’Maw (a sadist girl)
Master Yi (D) VS Singed (non-talking fellow)
Zilean (E) VS Le Blanc (Bulky Black Rose member)
Alistar (F) VS Mordekaiser (Ayelia)

Focus is on Nasus vs renekton with alistar coming to help and disturbed by singed. The match is pretty much even with Renekton dying once, yi and zilean dying once. The climax is when renekton lunges for Nasus and while biting his neck, A felt the wound appearing on him and something is wrong with the match. Heywan did nothing to stop the match and thanks to Sarah Fortune, Renekton let go of Nasus and B tells them he casted a spell to make future damage real. The fight continues with Team A slowly losing ground and being pushed back because they are trying to be cautious about hurting the opponent, especially Ayelia and B.

Seventh Part (ending of Book 1):
The match is coming to a close. Team A is pushed back to their nexus and is about to lose when, Vessaria Kolminye and the enforcement squad came and arrested heywan for a scandal he was up against. She then proceeded to clear off the spell cast by B and told A to finish the match. A releases Nasus’ final form, and Nasus slays renekton. Team A then proceeds to slay the entire enemy team and manages to break the enemy nexus, thus winning the match. While slowly disappearing, renekton seemed to regain his true self and explains something via whisper to Nasus. He then disappears. A rushes to the summoning chambers of team B but only finds a gravely ill Ayelia. Kolminye summoned Soraka to preserve Ayelia in a stasis chamber made by Zilean. She then asks Nasus what renekton told him. Nasus then explains that the mysterious group were in fact members of the Black Rose. Zilean says he senses things are about to be different.
